Monday money #194 – Do What You Love

It has been another busy week in the Cost of Living Crisis World. Finally we saw a glimmer of help from the government with £400 grants being given to everyone in the Autumn, plus extra help weighted towards people on benefits.

But it’s not enough, as I shared in my viewpoint post for The Mirror this week.

Half Term Time

Its half term, hasn’t this one come around quickly? I’ve not planned too much, am hoping for sunshine so we can take a trip to the beach, nearest beach is two hours away, but worth it! As always I will be trying my best to save money, today I have already saved £10 by booking cinema tickets via Kidspass. Top Gun here we come.

I wrote this article packed with ways to save money in the Easter holidays, it all very much applies to this week too.

TV Appearance on BBC Spotlight

I spoke on BBC Spotlight (local TV for my home Cornwall & Devon) about supermarket money saving tips. I was so excited to be on Spotlight, I grew up watching this news program, mum and dad would be so proud! And they would understand this part of my job!

Do What You Love

Rebecca Megson-Smith has written a new article for me on a brilliant subject ‘ Do What You Love’ We both feel very privileged to have built businesses doing what we love. She shares her guidance and path to happiness.

More TV Work Coming Up

I will be appearing on Dirty Rotton Scammers TV show aired from Monday 6th June. This was filmed almost a year ago so its great that its finally going to be on TV. It will be on the 9:15 slot on BBC One after Breakfast News.

I am also doing some filming for ITV Tonight next week, again talking about Supermarket and general money savings. This will be aired in a few weeks time!

Day 16 of No Booze – booze free until 23rd June – 5 1/2 weeks

I am feeling so good after a prolonged break of no booze. I am currently on day 16 and am feeling incredibly healthy and focussed. Its no coincidence that life things have fallen wonderfully into place at the same time as no booze.

I have been eating very healthily and have also done a lot of exercise, so with the impact of no booze I have lost a lot of fat. I have no idea how much, I’ve not weighed myself but my clothes are much looser.

I have been making life decisions with a lot more clarity, work projects are falling into place and I am feeling generally much more positive about life.

I am excited for the next few months and seeing what happens.
