Afternoon tea is the best way to celebrate your BFF
I love an afternoon tea. It is one of my most favourite things to do with a BFF, girlfriend or my gay best friend. Those mini sandwiches and desserts are just divine. The (feels like) thousands of choices of tea or coffee. The tastiest butter on those scones or mmm Cornish clotted cream and strawberry jam. I am a huge fan of themed afternoon, Alice in Wonderland or cat themed tea are up there at the top of my list.
It is AFTERNOON TEA WEEK, this week from 12th August to 18th August 2019. To celebrate Buyagift have a huge range of 50% off deals on their afternoon tea experiences. Just click here use the code TEAWEEK for 20% off Afternoon teas – Valid from Mon 12th Aug to Sun 18th midnight.
Here are my 5 reasons for why afternoon tea is the best way to celebrate your BFF.
1. A chance to sit and ooohh and aaaahh over the beautiful food and catch up
I often meet my best friends in a bigger group and rarely get the chance to sit and chat properly to my BFF. An afternoon tea allows this to happen. You can celebrate the food and chat and anything and everything. And admire the prettiest food. Those mini scones are just beautiful, or the mini eclairs or chocolate mousse. The excitement of waiting to see the tower of cakes coming is always the best bit for me. I like to plan the order to eat the food in to ensure that all food is eaten!!
2. A value for money option to experience posh hotels
Using a voucher from Buyagift is a value for money option to drool over the tea rooms of some of the most beautiful hotels in London. You can have a chocolate afternoon tea for 2 at the London Hilton for £49, then add on the 20% discount!! Bargain. Or what about Afternoon Tea for two at the Langham for £110, then add on the 20% discount. The Langham is such a beautiful hotel in Marylebone. Or more local to me is Luton Hoo and very stunning country house and very posh hotel, afternoon tea with champagne there is £80, plus the 20% discount this week.
3. Go for a themed Afternoon Tea
Is there a theme that your BFF and you love? Alice in Wonderland has got to be a winning combination for afternoon tea and you can do this for £80 at Taj 51 hotel in Westminster.
I love the idea of a Midsummer Nights dream afternoon tea in the Globe by the River Thames, the home of Shakespeare theatre in London. This one is £64 for two, then add on the 20% discount.
4. Have Afternoon Tea with Cats
I have experienced this one and I absolutely love it and highly recommend it, a perfect gift for any cat lover. Lady Dinah’s Cat emporium offers the most fabulous experience of afternoon tea with cats and kittens running around. I had to take my friend Marianne, a fellow cat lover, to experience this cooler than cool place in Hackney.

5. Bottomless champagne with afternoon tea
There are many options for the champagne afternoon tea, my personal favourite and one that I will be partaking in with my BFF Anita as we celebrate her 40th birthday in September. The 5* Grosvenor hotel offers brilliant deal of bottomless champagne afternoon tea for £97 . I cannot wait to experience this with a mostest special friend.
