Octopus Energy Parent Power & cookies
Hurrah to sunny weather and warmth this week. I have worn my sunglasses on three days!! I have had a fairly quiet week for excitement during the days, although today Friday I am off to London to meet up with a clever man for coffee. Next week is looking super exciting as I am off to London on Monday to interview a celeb!! I am VERY excited to meet Rachel Riley and talk all things countdown, maths, dancing, money and switching energy! This is part of a fabulous campaign for uSwitch the energy comparison site.
Good Exercise week
I have done two YouTube Body coach sessions this week as well as my normal personal training. The Body Coach channel posts a new video workout every week so there is plenty of free content there to work through. And its good, 20 minutes of high impact calorie burning. We can all manage 20 minutes a few times a week cant we? I tagged Joe Wicks in an Instagram story AND HE SENT ME A VIDEO MESSAGE back!! Most exciting and that made my week. Annoying once you have watched an Instastory video around 10 times it disappears. He inspired me to eat well and be active this week. My personal training this week was a KILLER, check out my Instagram video, stomach is hurting so so much after these exercises.

Parent Power from Octopus Energy
Octopus Energy have come up with a brilliant new scheme that not only saves parents money on their energy bills but also gives money to their local school or club. For every parent that switches their energy over to Octopus energy the school/club will get £50. If 20 parents switch the school will get £1000. Its a win-win scheme where parents can save money and the school gets much needed money to help with their fund raising. For more details read more here.
Applied for passport renewals
The prices are set to increase for passports on the 27th March, both Jack and hubbys passports are due for renewal in the next few months so I have applied for the renewal. You can fill in the forms online, print them out and pay, thus locking in the lower price. You can then get the photos and counter signatory organised once you have everything paid for and printed out. Save on postage too by sending off the applications together.
Switch Broadband
I processed my broadband switch over to TalkTalk this week. I saved a lovely £6.50 per month and have the same unlimited fibre package. Nice. If you are out of contract you could save money on your broadband too, why not check out this post and see how much money you can save as well.
Making cookies
I have definitely mentioned these cookies before in 5 frugal things but my kids adore them. The only ingredient we need to buy is chocolate chips as we have the rest in the store cupboard. They are so delicious and they never last long. Check out the recipe to make them yourself.
I am linking up with this Cass, Emma and Becky in this week’s ‘Five Fabulously Frugal things I’ve done this week’ linky.

I’ve been sick and so has my wife been recently. Haven’t really worked out in 2 weeks, and I’m definitely looking forward to getting back into it.
Its tough to get back into it after sickness. gotta go for it though.
